‘Creepy Porn Lawyer’ Has 2 Conspiracy Counts Dropped

November 14, 2019

Michael Avenatti, dubbed “Creepy Porn Lawyer” by Tucker Carlson for Avenatti’s defense of porn star Stormy Daniels in her suit against President Trump, saw two counts of conspiracy dropped from charges that he conspired to extort millions from Nike.

“I am extremely pleased that the two counts alleging I engaged in a conspiracy against Nike have just been dismissed by Trump’s DOJ,” Avenatti tweeted on Wednesday. “I expect to be fully exonerated when it is all said and done.”

An indictment returned Wednesday in Manhattan federal court was renewed to add an honest services wire fraud charge, according to Fox News. Avenatti has pleaded not guilty to charges that he committed extortion by threatening to publicly reveal Nike’s alleged unsavory dealings in college athletics if he wasn’t paid up to $25 million.

“The government’s case is falling apart as I knew it would,” he boasted to Fox News. Avenatti’s arrogance remains unscathed, unlike his credibility.
