Sen. Cory Booker walked out of Friday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh, declaring it a “moral moment” in America.
Christine Blasey Ford and Kavanaugh both testified before the committee on Thursday regarding her sexual misconduct allegations.
“I cannot stomach that we are going to move forward,” with the confirmation, Booker said. He concluded, before exiting, that Kavanaugh’s’ confirmation will be looked at as a “dark moment” similar to Anita Hill’s accusations against then-nominee Clarence Thomas in 1991.
