Tuesday on CNN in the wake of the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, longtime CNN propagandist Wolf Blitzer lamented that “weapons of mass destruction” are too easy to get in America.
“Every time there is an incident like this, you hear about efforts to deal with mentally unstable people who can certainly go out there and buy a weapon of mass destruction, go out there and buy a gun or rifle or some sort of assault-type weapon and go to there and eventually start killing wonderful, wonderful, people,” Blitzer blathered.
Like the rest of his leftist comrades, Blitzer believes that more gun control will prevent such crimes. It will not. Gun violence is often the biggest problem in the most heavily gun-controlled cities and states in the Union. Criminals ignore laws, and sometimes mental illness is not recognized or diagnosed until it’s too late.
In any case, the left doesn’t care about gun violence per se, otherwise they would care more about inner-city gun violence and gang violence. The left doesn’t even care about school shootings except insofar as they can be exploited to push stricter gun control. Their aim is to repeal the Second Amendment and confiscate guns from the law-abiding whose weapons are a buffer against the tyranny of the state.
