House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn told Axios on HBO Sunday, in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, that President Trump is a racist who could make the U.S. “go the way of Germany in the 1930s.”
Clyburn said that Trump is a racist who hired white supremacists, warning that America “could very well go the way of Germany in the 1930s.”
“I used to wonder how could the people of Germany allow Hitler to exist,” Clyburn had said. “But with each passing day, I’m beginning to understand how. And that’s why I’m trying to sound the alarm.” Clyburn compared Trump supporters to Nazis supporting the rise to power of Hitler. He argued that falsehoods in Trump’s State of the Union address highlighted the racism comparison.
Democrats have been making this ludicrous Trump-Hitler comparison from day one of his presidency, if not his election campaign. So often, in fact, that the accusation has lost all meaning and efficacy. It’s just a sign of their desperate impotence against Trump.
