Former entertainer Cher has pledged to boycott Google and Facebook because the platforms purportedly provided help to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, even though both companies actively work to stifle conservative voices.
Known now for her all-caps, emoji-packed, anti-Trump Twitter rants, the 72-year-old tweeted that she intends to stop using Google services and delete her Facebook account because both companies are interested only in money and “might as well be conspiring with Russia to destroy our democracy.”
Cher previously has described President Trump as a “cancer ravaging our nation” and a “liar, thug, crook, traitor” who is “ruining” America.
