Cher Claims Trump Called Coronavirus a ‘Hoax’

March 2, 2020

In a tweet on Saturday, former entertainer Cher repeated the media’s fake news about the coronavirus, which is the lie that President Trump called it a “hoax.”

“FRIEND SAID”trump’s SICK,I SAID I DON’T CARE!! LET HIM BE DRIVEN FROM [the United States] IN2 THE WILDERNESS ALONE.FACT HE SAYS”DEMS &NEWS STARTED THIS 2 HURT HIM”IS [nuts].SHOWS NO MATTER HOW DIRE THE SITUATION IT STILL”ONLY ABOUT HIM”!!OUR AMERICAN FAMILY NEEDS PROTECTION,” she wrote in her uniquely illiterate style.

She also retweeted an NBC News article with the misleading headline, “Trump calls coronavirus Democrats’ ‘new hoax.’” The article itself admits that Trump used “hoax” at a recent rally to describe the way Democrats have weaponized the virus politically.

Trump confirmed on Saturday that he was “referring to the action that they take to try and pin this on somebody. That’s just a continuation of the hoax, whether its the impeachment hoax or the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. This is what I’m talking about.”
