Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union, Sen. Cory Booker said President Trump was “worse than a racist” and “very similar” to 1960s segregationist George Wallace.
“The reality is, this is a guy who is worse than a racist,” Booker said. “He’s actually using racist tropes and racial language for political gains, trying to use this as a weapon to divide our nation against itself. This is somebody who is very similar to George Wallace, to racists who use the exact same language… We have a demagogue, fear-mongering person who is trying to use race to divide,” he added.
In fact, Booker’s Democrat Party has been using race to divide America for many decades; Trump has only exposed how deep the divide is after the tenure of predecessor Barack Obama, who promised to unite all Americans but only exacerbated racial tensions.
