White House contender Joe Biden echoed the hand-wringing of his fellow Democrats on Thursday, accusing President Trump of tossing a “stick of dynamite into a tinderbox” by ordering an airstrike to kill Iranian terrorist mastermind General Qassem Soleimani.
Soleimani “deserved to be brought to justice for his crimes against American troops and thousands of innocents throughout the region…” Biden conceded. “None of that negates the fact that this is a hugely escalatory move in an already dangerous region.
“President Trump just tossed a stick of dynamite into a tinderbox, and he owes the American people an explanation of the strategy and plan to keep safe our troops and embassy personnel, our people and our interests, both here at home and abroad, and our partners through the region and beyond.”
What Biden and his fellow Obama-era appeasers refuse to admit is that Trump’s devastating military action was long overdue and demonstrates forcefully to our enemy that there’s a new sheriff in town.
