At a Monday evening campaign event in Dallas, Texas, presidential hopeful Joe Biden promised that his failed presidential rival Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke would “be the one who leads” Biden’s gun control efforts if he is elected president.
“You’re gonna be the one who takes care of this gun problem with me,” Biden told the awkwardly stiff O’Rourke onstage. You’re gonna be the one who leads this effort. I’m countin’ on ya.”
In a curious coincidence, O’Rourke also endorsed Biden for president, claiming, “The man in the White House today poses an existential threat to this country. To our democracy. To free and fair elections. And we need somebody who can beat him. And in Joe Biden, we have that man.” Good luck with that.
One of the many reasons O’Rourke’s campaign never got off the ground was his open admission of totalitarianism to gun owners, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15.” Molon labe, Beto. Come and get them.
