Joe Biden’s campaign was asked Sunday about the left’s shrill demands to defund the police, but apparently the Democrat nominee doesn’t want to make a public statement about the increasingly significant issue.
In the wake of the recent killing of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis, the City Council announce its commitment to disbanding the city’s police department. Dem leaders like radical Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar tweeted her support for the idea, saying, “The Minneapolis Police Department has proven themselves beyond reform. It’s time to disband them and reimagine public safety in Minneapolis.”
Reuters reported that it sought to determine where Biden stands, but “a Biden campaign spokesman declined to comment.”
President Trump slammed his presumed November rival for his silence. “Sleepy Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats want to “DEFUND THE POLICE”. I want great and well paid LAW ENFORCEMENT. I want LAW & ORDER!” Trump posted on Twitter.
