Former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday called for a change among “white man’s culture” when it comes to sexual assault.
Biden lamented he didn’t do more to support sexual harassment accuser Anita Hill during Clarence Thomas’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings. “To this day I regret I couldn’t come up with a way to give her the kind of hearing she deserved,” Biden stated.
The likely 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful then noted how violence against women has been allowed to go on legally for centuries and said it is time for that to end. “It’s an English jurisprudential culture, a white man’s culture,” Biden explained. “It’s got to change.”
