Bezos Scolds Amazon Customer for Saying ‘All Lives Matter’

June 8, 2020

Billionaire Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos scolded a customer in an email for saying “all lives matter” and reiterated his support for the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

Amid the rioting over the police killing of George Floyd, Bezos posted to Instagram his response to a customer who expressed her disapproval of a banner on Amazon’s website which reads “Black lives matter.” “ALL LIVES MATTER!” the customer wrote in an email. “And if it wasn’t for all these lives providing their service to [you] and your company, where would Amazon be today?”

“‘Black lives matter’ doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter,” Bezos wrote. “Black lives matter speaks to racism that Black people face in our law enforcement and justice system. I have a 20-year-old son, and I simply don’t worry that he might be choked to death while being detained one day. It’s not something I worry about. Black parents can’t say the same.”

Saying “black lives matter” is not the same as supporting the far-left, cop-hating BLM movement, which ought to be designated a domestic terror group.
