Critics assailed former Texas Senate candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke on Tuesday after The Washington Post posted an interview which exposed him as uncertain about a variety of policy issues.
O’Rourke, a possible 2020 presidential contender, repeatedly demurred when asked for direct answers on his positions on everything from visa overstays to whether President Trump should withdraw military forces from Syria.
Asked, for example, what could be done about illegal immigrants who overstayed their visas, O’Rourke simply said, “I don’t know.”
