Becerra Supports HHS Funding Sex-Change Surgery on Minors

Appearing before the House Committee on Education and Labor on Wednesday, far-left Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra proudly declared that he favors using HHS funding for sex-change surgeries — on minors.

“For the record, you favor HHS’ funding being [used for] sex reassignment surgeries on minors?” asked Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).

“I will do anything I can to defend any American, including children… and if they talk about gender-affirming care, I am there to protect the rights of any American,” Becerra pontificated.

To be clear: “gender-affirming care” is the Left’s innocuous euphemism for encouraging and then actively assisting children, against their parents’ wishes or even without their knowledge, to transition from one sex to the other based on the gender confusion instilled by gender ideology activists.

Becerra calls this “protecting the rights of children.” In fact, what he is “affirming,” as the highest health official in the country, is the Left’s sick, exploitative destruction of countless young lives as part of the agenda to erase sex distinctions and deconstruct the stability of the traditional nuclear family.
