Actor Alec Baldwin, who, like many celebrities, has turned his Trump Derangement Syndrome into something of a second career, shared on social media his latest unhinged pronouncement against the President, claiming that Trump “hates the Constitution.”
“Trump’s impeachment centers on a hate crime,” Baldwin tweeted on Thursday. “He hates the Constitution.” This not only isn’t true or witty, it’s hypocritical, since the only Americans who hate the Constitution are Democrats.
This follows a Twitter thread Baldwin posted earlier this month in which he blamed the “near moral collapse of this country” on Trump’s supporters: “The desecration of those ideals and the near moral collapse of this country falls squarely in the lap of Trump’s supporters, as opposed as opposed to Trump himself, who is merely what psychology labels the ‘objective negative function.’ Like fire, floods and earthquakes, it destroys, and only destroys, by its very nature. Without prejudice.”
