Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Friday that there is no way she will clap for “authoritarian” President Trump’s call to “make America great.”
Appearing on New York’s “Ebro in the Morning” radio show, Ocasio-Cortez – now commonly referred to as AOC – responded to criticism of her “sullen” expression during Trump’s State of the Union address.
After blasting the Trump administration for its stance on illegal immigration, AOC said of Trump: “And he’s going to stand up there and say, like, ‘make America great,’ and I’m supposed to clap for that? No, I’m not going to. I’m not going to clap for that. This is, like, not a game. It’s not a game.”
