Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) told reporters on Tuesday that if Senate Republicans “knowingly vote against impeachment of this president knowing his corruption,” they will “have that stain on their careers the rest of their lives.”
“Once the House impeaches, the House has impeached the president,” Ocasio-Cortez said, although as Breitbart News notes, House Democrats themselves are over 80 votes short of a pro-impeachment majority.
“If they want to fail it, then I want to see every Republican go on the record and knowingly vote against impeachment of this president, knowing his corruption so that they can have that stain on their careers the rest of their lives, because this is outrageous, to protect this amount of lawlessness,” she added.
Trump has dismissed AOC and her fellow radical Congresswomen as “a very Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart. They are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left.”
