House Democrats held a closed-door session Thursday in which moderates bucking the party were reprimanded, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) threatening to put them “on a list” for a primary challenge.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi pressured about two dozen moderates to get onboard. “We are either a team or we’re not, and we have to make that decision,” Pelosi reportedly said.
Ocasio-Cortez admonished the moderates and suggested that she would help liberal activists unseat them in 2020. She said Democrats who side with Republicans “are putting themselves on a list.”
