Friday on Twitter, angry socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) demanded that future coronavirus relief measures be “drafted with a lens of reparations” to atone for “environmental racism” and other “underlying health conditions” that are causing the pandemic to “disproportionately” affect minority communities.
“COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities,” AOC tweeted. “Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions.
“Inequality is a comorbidity. COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations,” she concluded.
Reparations, which every Democrat nominee supported, are a fundamental element of the left’s platform now, because the left universally believes that the United States is a racist, oppressive, imperialist power and has been since its inception (which the left now marks, not from 1776, but from the arrival of the first slaves to American shores). The reality is that reparations are racist and unfair in their very essence.
