Anti-2A Activist Baldwin Wants Cops on Movie Sets to Monitor Real and ‘Fake’ Guns

November 10, 2021

Anti-Second Amendment activist and leftwing blowhard actor Alec Baldwin tweeted on Monday that “Every film/TV set that uses guns, fake or otherwise should have a police officer on set,” and the officer should be “hired by the production, to specifically monitor weapons safety.”

This comes on the heels of an incident last month in which Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his Western Rust, which he produces and stars in.

As Breitbart News’ John Nolte notes, “no one has been killed by a misfire since actor Brandon Lee 28 whole years ago. In other words, the safety protocols involving guns on movie and television productions work perfect—if they’re followed. Unfortunately, the protocols were not observed on the set of Rust, and now a young woman is dead.”

Instead of demanding accountability, “people immediately began to call for an end to the use of real guns and blanks on movie and TV sets,” Nolte continues. But Baldwin’s victim “did not die due to a failure in The System. The System works. It’s worked flawlessly for 28 years. Halyna Hutchins died because The System wasn’t followed. Somewhere along the line, people screwed up. And that includes Baldwin.”

And now Baldwin wants to demonstrate that he cares, by proposing police be hired to, well, police every film and TV set, even if the guns are fake. Leftist activists like Baldwin call for defunding the police, but now want them on every Hollywood production, to protect stars and producers like Baldwin from their own negligence and cost-cutting.
