In yet another blunder, but one which exposes a central truth about the Left, 2020 Democrat presidential frontrunner Joe Biden told a crowd at the Iowa State Fair Thursday that “we choose truth over facts.”
“Everybody knows who Donald Trump is,” said the gaffe-prone Biden, continuing to push the lie that Trump and his supporters are racists. “Even his supporters know who he is. We got to let him know who we are. We choose unity over division. We choose science over fiction. We choose truth over facts.”
As noted at Breitbart News, Biden appeared to be mixing up a line he has used before in his campaign: “We have to choose hope over fear, unity over division and, maybe most importantly, truth over lies.”
His latest gaffe echoes a recent comment by radical Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who said being “morally right” trumps being “factually correct.” Both comments reveal that the Left sees facts – which are inseparable from truth – as subordinate to the “higher truth” they believe they possess.
