Actor and leftwing Trump critic Alec Baldwin called White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders a “mouthpiece for fascism” during a social media sparring with her father, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
“They should find somebody who wants to do it. I feel like I’m done with that now. I’m so done with that,” Baldwin said, referring to his imitation of President Trump on Saturday Night Live. Huckabee tweeted on Saturday that this was “Good news for viewers who are ‘so done’ with ‘SNL’ & unfunny vicious Trump bashing instead of comedy. For refreshing variety, try my show instead tonight!”
Baldwin responded in a series of combative tweets which included smearing Sanders as a “mouthpiece for fascism.”
