In a 30-minute video released on the 17th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the leader of al Qaeda has called for new terror attacks against the United States.
Ayman al-Zawahiri called on Muslims around the world to wage war against the U.S., which he portrayed as a religious enemy of Islam. In the footage, al-Zawahiri says: “America (is) the number one enemy of Muslims… despite its professed secularism.”
