Sunday on MSNBC’s Alex Witt Reports, Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, ” called the Republican Party “anti-democratic.”
Asked about Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, in his final weeks in office, reportedly pushing the Justice Department to investigate fraud in the 2020 presidential election, Schiff replied, “It’s very serious. I served with Mark Meadows. I know him reasonably well. This is tragic when people allow themselves to do in the service of this unethical president, and to, from the White House, be urging the Justice Department to engage in bogus investigations, either to gratify the president’s ego or even worse, to actually try to overturn the results.
Schiff and his fellow Democrats know all about bogus investigations, since they launched so many against Trump during his tenure. In the case of a fraudulent election, however, an investigation would be entirely justified and legitimate. But Schiff doesn’t want the election results inspected.
“But the fact that he was doing it to try to overturn a U.S. election shows what an anti-democratic party the Republican Party has become, anti-democratic, anti-truth,” the hypocritical Schiff concluded.
Pure Democrat projection. It is the left that is demonstrably anti-democratic and anti-truth, all in their obsessive lust for power.
