Abrams: Democracy Under Attack by ‘Authoritarian’ GOP

Monday on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, Democrat voter fraud enthusiast and demagogue Stacey Abrams declared that Democrats’ “call to arms” is that “authoritarians” among Republican-led state legislators are passing election laws that are a threat to democracy.

Abrams said, “This is about a series of laws being passed across the country, starting in Georgia to reduce access to the right to vote for inconvenient voters, voters of color, young people, disabled voters, elderly voters, poor voters, but largely targeting communities of color that outperformed in the 2020 and 2021 run-offs here in Georgia.”

Entirely false. For the millionth time, the election integrity laws actually expand voting rights. The only voters the legislation targets are those trying to commit fraud — i.e., Democrats like Abrams.

Abrams blathered on: “That has to be the call to arms. This is not simply about one moment. This is about the foundations of our democracy, and they are in peril. It is time now for every single member of the U.S. Senate, Democrats and Republicans and independents, to declare their allegiance to our democracy as opposed to their parties.”

What bald-faced projection. The power-mad Democrat Party is the one actively dismantling democracy through its demagogic lies about voter integrity laws, and its attempt to keep the way clear for the massive voter fraud Dems need to win elections.
