Abortion giants Planned Parenthood and NARAL expressed pride and gratitude to the new Democrat majority in Virginia that approved bills in the House and Senate to roll back abortion restrictions this week.
As reported by Breitbart News, the Virginia Senate passed the Reproductive Health Protection Act (SB 733), which rescinds the 24-hour waiting period, ultrasound, and counseling prior to having an abortion. The bill also allows non-physicians to perform abortions and rolls back building safety standards in abortion clinics.
“The Virginia State Senate just passed the Reproductive Health Protection Act! Thanks to the years of organizing work by @NARALVirginia, abortion is becoming more accessible in the Commonwealth for the first time in decades,” tweeted NARAL. “And we are SO proud of your leadership!!!! THANK YOU!” Planned Parenthood Virginia tweeted in response to Sen. Jennifer McClellan’s Twitter celebration of the Act’s passing.
This is the same state whose Governor, Ralph Northam, stated his support a year ago for 3rd-trimester abortions.
