ABC announced that The Alec Baldwin Show would move from a prestigious Sunday evening timeslot to a less desirable Saturday night spot, amid tanking ratings and negative media attention surrounding the hot-headed actor.
Variety said “ABC has all but pulled the plug” on the show, noting that it is “one of ABC’s lowest-rated programs.” Its last episode attracted only 1.5 million viewers.
The announcement caps a bad week for the anti-Trump Alec Baldwin, who was charged earlier in the week with misdemeanor assault and harassment after he allegedly punched a man over a parking spot.
