1619 Project Creator Gets over $330 a Minute for SUNY Speech

The State University of New York agreed to pay $50,000, in addition to first-class airfare, to race-mongering radical Nikole Hannah-Jones, lead writer of the widely-debunked, Critical Race Theory-based 1619 Project, for her speaking services, according to a Breitbart News report.

The contract, signed by both the College at Brockport, State University of New York, and the Lavin Agency on behalf of Nikole Hannah-Jones, specified that the university would be required to pay for Hannah-Jones’ hotel and ground transportation in addition to “first class airfare” and a sum of $50,000.

Vice President for University Relations David Mihalyov stated that “approximately one-half of the cost for Nikole Hannah-Jones was covered by external sponsorship/Brockport Student Government.”

The agreement outlined that Hannah-Jones would give a 30-minute keynote lecture, participate in an hour-long Q&A session, and attend a reception for an hour, making a total of 2.5 hours of services for $50,000. Nice work if you can get it.

Hannah-Jones gave the keynote speech at Brockport’s 2022 Diversity Conference on April 1, 2022, titled “Truth, History, and The 1619 Project,” in which she promoted the historically false attempt to reframe our nation’s founding with the arrival of the first slaves to the shores of the New World. Her speech was hosted by — predictably — the university’s Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
