Nina Dessart became the Administrative Director of the Agape Foundation Fund for Nonviolent Social Change, a member organization of the Peace and Security Funders Group, in January 2002. Prior to that, she had worked for Greenpeace International, the San Francisco SPCA, the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and the Rikers Island Correctional Facility (also in New York). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Columbia University, and a Master’s Degree from the Columbia University School of Social Work. She also attended Oberlin Conservatory, and she has sung, toured, and recorded with the San Francisco Concert Chorale.
Today, Dessart serves as Secretary of Resound Ensemble, a San Francisco-based musical organization.
