* Former publisher of the socialist, anti-Israel newsletter Northwest Ethnic Voice
* Affiliated with the Palestine Children’s Welfare Fund
Margaret Stephens (a.k.a. Margaret Phillips), published the now-inactive Northwest Ethnic Voice, an Oregonian newsletter that pushed an anti-Israel, Socialist agenda. The newsletter had endorsed the group International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), an anti-war coalition that had sponsored many massive anti-war demonstrations across the United States and around the world; ANSWER is closely affiliated with the Communist organization Workers World Party (WWP). The Northwest Ethnic Voice also promoted ramallahonline.com, a radical website that features anti-Israel poems and petitions, along with favorable depictions of terrorists, including one of Osama bin Laden. In addition to her publishing duties, Stephens has worked with the Palestine Children’s Welfare Fund (PCWF), an advocacy group whose expressed goal is “to improve the living standards of the children of Palestine in the refugee camps inside Palestine.” In reality, however, the PCFW engages in and promotes anti-Israeli hatred through its Internet discussion board, the contests it sponsors, and its affiliations with politically motivated, pro-Palestinian-militant groups.
