Farouq Al-Qaddoumi is the head of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s political bureau, and is the secretary-general of Fatah’s Central Committee. In January 2003 he stated that the strategies and goals of Fatah and Hamas were identical and always had been. He opposes the 2003 “Road Map to Peace,” and condemns America for allegedly favoring the Israelis in their conflict with the Palestinians.
