Anke Wessels is a socialist and a member of the Cornell Forum for Justice and Peace, which deems terrorism a phenomenon that should be dealt with through legalistic and law-enforcement channels rather than military force. Wessels leads Cornell’s Center for Religion, Ethics and Social Policy. She has planned, coordinated, and participated in numerous anti-war activities. Previously, she was a professor of geography at Syracuse University, teaching and conducting research in the area of environmental politics, international economics, and social activism.
