* Karen Armstrong has spoken on religious matters before the U.S. Congress and the United Nations, and has taught courses in comparative religion at Leo Baeck College, a London-based rabbinical institution for Jewish education. In 1999 she received the Muslim Public Affairs Council‘s Media Award.
