Regional director of the terrorist-tied Global Relief Foundation
Ahmed Said was director for the Kosovo branch of the Global Relief Foundation (GRF). The U.S. government shut down the GRF in December 2001 because of its ties to terrorism. In a raid on the Kosovo office by Italian troops from NATO, Said was taken into custody and held in detention at Fort Bondsteel, a U.S. post in southern Kosovo for over seven weeks.
