- Co-founder of the British branch of Hizb-ut-Tahrir
- Gave speeches titled “Peace with Israel: A Crime Against Islam,” and “Battlefield: The Only Place for Muslims and Jews”
Farid Kassim, a Syrian expatriot, was the co-founder and spokesman of the British branch of Hizb-ut-Tahrir, an organization that supports worldwide Islamic jihad in the quest to establish a greater Islamic State. Kassim has stated that he wants to see the overthrow of both the United Kingdom and India.
In 1994, he gave speeches titled “Peace with Israel: A Crime Against Islam,” and “Battlefield: The Only Place for Muslims and Jews.” “There are 121 verses in the Koran about fighting and killing,” Kassim boasts. “Ours is not a passive religion.” During another public address, he stated, “I won’t let you film this talk because the Jews . . . control the media.” A Holocaust denier, Kassim says, “[I am] not satisfied intellectually that six million people were killed by the Nazis. . . . this only allegedly happened 50 years ago.”
