Hafiz Muhammad Idrees is the former South Kashmir commander of Lashkar-I-Taiba, or Lashkar-e-Taiba, a group of Kashmiri terrorists headquartered in Pakistan. He is also the former Punjab Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, an al Qaeda-linked terrorist group masquerading as a political party. Today he is the Punjab President of the radical Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA). In July of 2003, Idrees stated that jihad was the source of Muslims’ strength and would always continue, “whatever the cost.”
