Anti-Defamation League's “Global 100” Study (2014)

Source: http://global100.adl.org/about

The Anti-Defamation League commissioned First International Resources to research attitudes and opinions toward Jews around the world. The results of this study, known as the ADL GLOBAL 100, are derived from 53,100 total interviews (conducted in 2013 and 2014) of the general public in each of 101 countries plus the Palestinian Territories in the West Bank & Gaza. Interviews were conducted via landline telephones, mobile phones, and face-to-face discussions in 96 languages. All respondents were selected at random.

An index comprised of 11 statements was developed by researchers at the University of California to be used in these public opinion surveys, to provide an analytical tool for identifying respondents who harbor anti-Semitic attitudes and for measuring general acceptance of various negative Jewish stereotypes. The Index Score for each country represents the percentage of adults in that specific country who answered "probably true" to a majority of the anti-Semitic stereotypes tested. (For each overall region, this number is weighted to represent each country proportionately to its adult population.) The following are the eleven statements that constitute theADL GLOBAL 100 anti-Semitism index:

1. Jews are more loyal to Israel than to [this country/the countries they live in].
2. Jews have too much power in international financial markets.
3. Jews have too much control over global affairs.
4. Jews think they are better than other people.
5. Jews have too much control over the global media.
6. Jews are responsible for most of the world's wars.
7. Jews have too much power in the business world .
8. Jews don't care what happens to anyone but their own kind.
9. People hate Jews because of the way Jews behave.
10. Jews have too much control over the United States government.
11. Jews still talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust.
