The Nation Against Us

The Nation magazine is so wedded to the wrong end in the War on Terror, that it can hype its current editorial in these words: "The editors argue that opposing US-sanctioned torture is today's great task." And winning the war on terror? Defeating radical Islam? Consolidating and securing the democracy in Iraq so that Iraqis can defend themselves? No. It's opposing the U.S. that's important -- in fact that's always the key to any Nation position: What's the position that opposes us?

Of course the assault on Guantanamo which is the Islamists' Inchon landing (for those who remember the Korean War) takes precedence over all these other tasks which are about winning OUR war on terror. If you think the United States is the Great Satan and you want America to lose the war on terror, then Guantanamo is the great task. Of course, first it was Abu Ghraib. Imam Ali Sistani, the leader of the Shi'ite majority in Iraq never mentioned Abu Ghraib because 1) it was a minor and normal atrocity of war and 2) the freedom of Iraqis (which depended on the victory of the United States) was far more important to him.

Of course the fifth column's torture offensive didn't even start with Abu Ghraib. It started on 9/12/01, with a false hysteria about the persecutions of Muslims in this country -- this before anyone had time to absorb the catastrophe that had befallen us -- US -- the victim nation, let alone grieve for our innocent dead. Torture is bad, but the Nation isn't against torture. It's against US. You could read 1,000 issues of The Nation while Stalin was torturing millions and never read a word about that. But now The Nation is busily endorsing Amnesty International's libel against America -- that Guantanamo (where we lowered the sinks to let these renegade Muslims wash their "religious" feet) is actually comparable to the Soviet gulag where the friends of The Nation systematically exterminated 20 million and incarcerated under the most inhuman conditions five times that number.

You have to admire the consistency of The Nation, the way it disgraces even the idea of a moral standard while pretending to invoke one at the same time. Its wretched role in the war against the Islamic savages who have declared a death sentence on every American man, woman and child, dwarfs even its 70-year betrayal of this country and its decencies during the war against the Soviet empire.

If there is anyone more eloquent than David Horowitz concerning the betrayal, lack of moral clarity and narcissism of the Left then I hope to read it on Moonbat Central. As a former Leftist myself ( let me emphasize "FORMER" ) I can only thank God for people like Horowitz, Prager, Medved et. al. for exposing the ugly truths about the 5th column's loathsome agenda for the world and the United States.

While conceeding that real torture and brutality are unacceptable, this "koran abuse" crap is about as low as they can get. They are exploiting this petty crap cause they are traitors. If America was 1/10 as bad as they say(or there communist idols) the staff of the Nation would be hanging from lamp-post throughout NYC.

They believe as the gospel truth what every two-bit lying terrorist has to say, people who have vowed to kill us, and people who are trained to tell any lie to further their cause, but meanwhile they regard our own military with utter disdain and contempt --and to believe unquestioningly the worst about them at the drop of a hat--, the people who are sacrificing their very selves on our behalf.

And then they wonder why we question their patriotism, and act oh so hurt and offended by it when we do.
