The Shadow Party's "Gang of Five"

In his new book The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy, National Review White House correspondent Byron York cites figures from the tracking organization Political Money Line which show that, of the $230 million spent by pro-Democrat 527 committees during the 2004 election cycle, more than $78 million came from just five individual donors.

Clarice Feldman of the American Thinker has named these Democrat mega-donors the "Gang of Five." They are, in descending order of the size of their contributions:

George Soros ---------------------- $27,080,105
Peter Lewis ------------------------ $23,997,220
Stephen Bing ---------------------- $13,952,682
Herbert and Marion Sandler --- $13,007,959
TOTAL ------------------------------- $78,037,966
Peter Lewis, Stephen Bing and Herbert and Marion Sandler are all close friends and associates of George Soros.

They are just losing thier money. They might have temporarily purchased the Democratic party at its time of least importance since the nineteen twenties. But they and their lapdog Dean are only going to drive it down even further.
Then, more intellegent Democrats will take it back.

So much for the Democrats being the party of the little guy, huh? I guess they take their voters for fools because they're so blatant about it.

The problem here isn't just funding. It's ideology. The far left took over the party in the '60's and has been successful in using lies to camoflague their radicalism since then. The Internet has stripped off that disguise, however. They don't have the financial support of the masses, and so have to turn to the moneymen. The unions as a source of coerced money, have dried up. Their core constituencies are leaving them. Only money and the media are keeping the party afloat. Clinton's triangulation, while canny politics, was nothing more than a hurricane party.

Let's hope foreign born Soros and his anti American friends pour the rest of their millions down rat holes like the 2004 election. The sooner they are bandrupct, the better.
