Soros Shadow Party Will Pump More Money Into Brock Smear Machine
The Phoenix Group — a network of 70 radical millionaires and billionaires associated with George Soros' Shadow Party — met last weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona to plot strategy. A major part of that strategy will involve pumping more money into David Brock's leftwing smear machine MediaMatters.org, according to an April 20 report by Hans Nichols of The Hill.
Washington attorney, investment banker and Democrat activist Rob Stein — who formerly served as an aide to Bill Clinton's ill-fated Commerce Secretary Ron Brown — reportedly organized the meeting, which Sarah Ingersoll of Stein's Democracy Alliance described as "a very preliminary meeting of committed donors interested in building a community to support progressive infrastructure."
Stein has emerged as something of a leftwing celebrity in recent months, touring the country with a PowerPoint presentation called "The Conservative Message Machine's Money Matrix." It purports to prove that conservative causes receive billions of dollars more in contributions than leftwing causes — a claim which attentive readers of DiscovertheNetworks.org know to be false, but which nevertheless sends leftwing donors racing for their checkbooks in a panic.
For more on Stein's role in Shadow Party fundraising, see "The Right-Wing Express" by Don Hazen (Alternet, February 7, 2005), "The Money Man: Can George Soros' Millions Defeat Bush?" by Jane Mayer (The New Yorker, October 18, 2004) and "Wiring the Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy" by Matt Bai (New York Times Magazine, July 25, 2004).
At the Scottsdale meeting last weekend, George Soros told the group "that they must be patient if they want to realize long-term political and ideological yields from an expected massive investment in `startup' progressive think tanks," writes Nichols.
Nichols also notes that Stein's "Democracy Alliance will act as a clearinghouse and is expected to channel much of its money to new organizations and existing ones such as John Podesta's Center for American Progress and David Brock's Media Matters for America."

Incredible - people brilliant enough to make billions of dollars (in the most capitalistic ways) who nevertheless can not connect the reality dots to where their dreams of a better socialism will go (nowhere) and will ultimately ruin the ability for others (and themselves) to follow their path (i.e. true freedom). How many more decades will it take for the "progressives"(term to describe a political movement which began about 1905 -readily used by v.i.lenin and ilk) and we thought would die off with its hundreds of millions of victims) , now lead by former communist "Soros" (even his name is phony - trained, groomed, funded by the former imperial communists to talk like a capitalist - but walk like a commie) to realize that their philosphies/ideas of "utopia" just won't work? How much longer before the real "masses" wake up to where these people are trying to take all - and our nations (and our capital (all types))??

"progressive think tanks?"
My God, anyone that has a tank to think with, and has ever picked up a real history book knows, that when it comes to "progressives," have only one thing on your mind.
GET THOSE MONKEYS BACK IN THEIR CAGES!
I'm fascinated with the pathological need of liberals, leftists, socialists and communists to try to camouflage their identities with a sophomoric euphemism like "progressive," even though, as Blogusminimus said, it's a thoroughly discredited term.
But then, I'm trying to use reason in understanding the leftist mind, and that's rather silly. Sorry.

Meanwhile, British pensioners starve on the IOUs left in the Bank of England in place of the money ripped off by Soros to fund the fight against Social Security reform here in America.
Meanwhile, leftists explain that the Soviet Union collapsed under the weight of the size of its government's sphere of influence, yet these same leftists are the first to tell us we need socialized medical care among other socialized things.
Mr. Beamish challenge #2 - Name a leftist that ever, even accidentally, said something that wasn't fundamentally screwy.

Most of these types call themselves greens or various fashionable anarchist types. Some of these anarchist should be send to Gitmo. An hour of evil Monnaco would produce great results.
Beakerkin,
I call these types "watermelons," i.e. green on the outside, red on the inside.
