"Anti-Cuban" Resolution in U.N. Human Rights Commission

"United States Makes Official Anti-Cuban Proposal in United Nations," read a Cuban headline about a resolution subsequently passed by the U.N. Human Rights Commission on Cuban human rights abuses. Perversion of language is to totalitarianism what beef is to Argentine cookery.

The Castro regime's colossal violence against Cubans is what's anti-Cuban. Solidarity for the regime's victims is pro-Cuban. Similarly, the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges's concern for German culture caused him to denounce Nazism, writing in 1938:

"Germany--along with France, England, the United States--is one of the essential nations of the western world. Hence we feel devastated by its chaotic descent into darkness..."

Bulletin! Bulletin! Bulletin!

From the RNC.

No, not from the powerful Republican National Committee, that is going to get more powerful once we get rid of the filibuster (the DNC's last great hope), but from Rightminded News Central.

I have it upon an unimpeachable source, my kid brother, that soon cell phone numbers will be made available to telemarketing companies.

Although, I fully respect any, and all, that makes a living using sound moral values, I consider an uninvited tele-marketer's call an intrusion into my life. If they call you on your cell phone, you will actually be paying for the intrusion, to boot.

Believe me, the last thing I want to do is negatively impact Bob Meyer's main source of income, and J.E.T.'s circle of people, who will actually go out of their way to talk to him, but I must nip this intrusion in the bud.

"NIP IT! NIP IT! NIP IT!," as Barney Fife would say.

If you are so inclined my brothers message follows:

Forgot to send you the following information.
If you haven't seen it already:

#1-A QUICK REMINDER...... In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale calls. You will be charged for these calls.
>
> Call this number from your cell phone 888-382-1222. It is the national DO NOT CALL list. It only takes a minute of your time. It blocks your number for 5 years. Please pass this on to everyone you know who doesn't want to be hassled

Why not ask the government to put a tap on your cell phone number and monitor it for incoming calls from telemarketers?
