Ward Churchill Admits He Is Not An Indian
In a speech at the University of Hawaii Tuesday night, al Quaida apologist Ward Churchill finally admitted what everyone already knows: his claim to be an American Indian is false. Mimicking what he called his "white Republican" critics, Churchill said:
"`Is he an Indian?' Do we really care? Let's cut to the chase; I am not."
Dismissing the question of his ethnic identity as "not important," Churchill said, "The issue is the substance of what is said." Well, that may settle the matter for Churchill, but I would suggest that his atonement remains incomplete. This man should be fired for submitting a fraudulent job application; for fraudulently gaining the benefit of an affirmative action hire which should have gone to a real Indian; for decades of snookering students into thinking that his vile opinions reflect the American Indian perspective; and for defaming every Indian nation with his repulsive masquerade.
UPDATE 02.24.05: Well, here we go again. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin has retracted its report that Churchill admitted he was not Indian. The paper had previously quoted Churchill saying, "`Is he an Indian?' Do we really care? Let's cut to the chase; I am not." Here's what Churchill really said, according to "a review of video and audiotapes of the speech" by the Star-Bulletin:
"Is he an Indian? We really care. We're trying to protect the rights of Indians to divine for themselves, say this circle of flies in the form of white reporters circling a manure pile like it's of all consequential importance. Cut to the chase on that."According to the Star-Bulletin, Churchill then proceeded to repeat his claim that he is part Indian and an "associate" member of the Keetoowah band of the Cherokee nation. Okay. Whatever.

One of my favorite talk show hosts, Larry Elder, voiced a tongue-in-cheek complaint today. He quoted Ward Churchill's silly little quip about white Republicans being out to get him. Mr. Elder, a black man, apparently felt a little left out, and suggested that Mr. Churchill simply forgot to say that "white Republicans and Larry" are out to get him. The people in the car next to me were probably wondering why I was laughing and nearly choking on my iced tea.
Little does the pompous Ward Churchill know how entertaining his intellectually vacant ravings can be. I enjoy a good laugh, so I hope to hear more from him.
The sad part is that he has masqureaded as a faux Native American for 30 years.There is something wrong with a system that requires only members of the same ethnic group to teach in departments.
Julius Lester now teaches from the Jewish Studies section in his college. I would love to hear why he left the black studies department. His frictions were described in his excellent book Lovesong.He was viewed as to pro Israel. The fact that Black studies should have almost no content involving Israel mmust have been missed
This is an example of the typical shoddy "journalism" of Hawaii's lamestream media. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin has posted a retraction of Chruchill's alleged statement.
Leftists can't admit it when they are caught in an outright lie. Chruchill will go to his grave denying the obvious.

What many people do not know is that this mental aberration CANNOT be treated. The afflicted simply must be kept on a short leash, and medicated properly. Most certainly, they should not be schooling our young in any capacity.

Listen to the audio clip of Churchi;ll's now-retracted "admission." You can't blame the reporter for hearing "...I'm not" rather than "...on that."
