Innocent Palestinian Taxi Driver Oppressed by Zionist Colonialists
Yet another violation of the human rights and dignity of oppressed
Palestinians by Jewish colonialists and imperialists:
An Israeli businessman kidnapped in St. Petersburg last week has been released, the city prosecutor's office said Wednesday.
Office spokeswoman Yelena Ordynskaya said 33-year-old Boris Suris had been seized on Feb. 10 and was freed Tuesday night.
No arrests in the case have been reported and officials declined to say whether a ransom was paid.
Suris was taken from his apartment at 147 Nevskiy Boulevard by three men dressed in paramilitary garb at around 10 a.m. last Tuesday and shoved into a car by three men, who sped off.
The Russian Police Main Directorate for Organized Crime unit investigated the kidnapping.
Sources close to the investigation said Suris personally owed $7.5 million to the Sberbank (Savings Bank of the Russian Federation) in St. Petersburg and might owe more money to private business interests in Russia. The bank in Russia was not immediately available for comment.
Boris Suris is the general manager of 'Ahlama' (Healing) - a company that distributes herbal medicines in Russia. According to sources, his father Pavel, who is the CEO of Ahlama, received an audiotape with the kidnapper's demands.
