CBS has announced that it will air a one-hour tribute to its longtime anchorman Dan Rather on the evening of his retirement, March 9.

Among other shocking things, these document Dan Rather’s self-admitted experimentation with LSD and heroin. My investigation also suggests how a skilled reporter like Dan Rather would interrogate Dan Rather about his illegal use of mind-altering drugs.

Additionally, is there something wrong with experimenting with illicit drugs? Do we have some societal obligation to perform under the strictures of manmade laws, the initial purpose of which was allegedly to punish minorities?
Conversely, do we have an obligation to ourselves to fullfil our own wants and desires, provided they don't harm anyone else?
Did Mister Rather go to the school-yard and offer drugs to children? Or that doesn't matter, his very actions merely being the point?
Condemn the man for his reprehensible actions as Anchor. Don't be your enemy. Please.
