Based in Royal Oak, Michigan, the Shari'a Scholars Association of North America (SSANA) is an organization composed of scholars of Islamic jurisprudence. Its most publicized effort was its condemnation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.  Former and current members of SSANA are associated with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an umbrella group of hundreds of organizations that promote the radical ideology of jihad. In fact, the President of ISNA, Sheikh Mohammed Nur Abdullah, is a member of SSANA.
